Colour confidence before we paint.
Visualise it. Sample it. Then get it painted properly.
Choosing the right colour can be the hardest part of starting a painting project. To make it easier, we've linked a few trusted tools where you can visualise colours, explore ideas and order samples directly. Once you've narrowed things down, Lee can quote the work properly.
Visualiser and sample tools are provided by third-party paint brands. White Stripes can advise on finish, surface prep and practical painting requirements once you've narrowed down your colour direction.
Four steps to a colour you'll love.
- 01
Visualise colour ideas
Start by playing with colour in your own space. The Dulux Visualiser overlays paint onto photos of your rooms, and the Tint app offers curated palettes with augmented reality previews and time-of-day light views. Use either, or both. There's no commitment and nothing to install at our end.
- 02
Order samples directly
Once you've shortlisted a few shades, order samples direct from the paint brand. Dulux sells brush-on sample pots for the traditional approach. Tint posts peel-and-stick colour samples you can reposition around the room. Both let you test colour against your own light, fittings and floors before you commit.
- 03
Bring your shortlist to Lee
Live with the samples for a few days. Look at them in morning light, afternoon light and lamp light. When you've narrowed things down, bring your shortlist to your quote. Lee can advise on finish, sheen level, surface prep, the right products for the substrate, and any practical painting requirements you should know.
- 04
Book a painting quote
When you're ready, request a free quote. Lee visits, assesses the surfaces, walks the job with you and provides a clear painting quote. No pressure to lock anything in on the day.
We paint. You choose.
White Stripes is a painting and decorating business, not a colour consultancy or a paint reseller. We don't pick colours for you and we don't order your samples. That keeps things simple and keeps you in control of the look.
What Lee will help with: assessing the surfaces, recommending the right finish and sheen, flagging anything that could affect how a colour reads on the wall (light, surface, prep), and quoting the painting work clearly.
